Hiking, mountain climbing, fishing and hunting are popular activities. This area of the world is the foremost fishing grounds for King Salmon. The weather is rainy with periodic winds to seventy miles an hour and up but there is very little snow and on sunny days you can step out to catch your glimpses of the eagles, seals, otters, whales, and the majestic mountain scenery.
A well-stocked grocery store is available as well as DVDs and a few native-owned shops.
