All Annette Island Service Unit employees are required to read, sign, and adhere to the following patient confidentiality code of conduct.

EMPLOYEE NOTICE OF PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY
Every person who walks through the doors of the Service Unit is entitled to absolute confidential care. Confidential information is considered to be any information about a patient. No employee has the right to violate the patient's absolute rights to confidentiality.
Confidentiality begins at the first point of contact with the patient, either in person or by phone.
All Annette Island Service Unit staff are advised that absolutely no information about any aspect of patient care is to leave this facility, even if the patient is a friend or relative.
Any employee who is reported by a patient, or overheard discussing a patient's illness and it is verified true, will be terminated immediately without notice and will have no rights accorded in MIC Personnel Policies.
I have read and fully understand this policy. I agree to maintain patients' rights to c onfidential care. Moreover, I understand that any violation of this policy will result in immediate termination.
