Dental Services

The Annette Island Service Unit Dental Clinic is a primary care dental clinic. All primary care services are provided free of charge to eligible Native people. Primary care includes:

• cleanings
• exams
• extractions
• fillings
• fluoride treatments
• mouth guards
• sealants
• x-rays
• nutritional counseling and oral hygiene instruction

Another service provided on a limited basis includes root canal treatment. Crowns, bridges, partial dentures, and full dentures are not provided by or paid for by the Annette Island Service Unit Dental Clinic. Lab fees incurred for these procedures are to be paid by the patient prior to placement. In addition, orthodontics (braces) are not provided by or paid for by the Annette Island Service Unit Dental Clinic.

Services for non-beneficiaries are limited to:

• emergency treatment
• exams
• extractions
• sealants
• x-rays
